Election!: PUBLIC NOTICE of SPRING ELECTION TOWN OF LEON Notice is hereby given that a Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 in the Leon Town Hall, 8108 Jackrabbit Ave., Sparta from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The polling place is accessible to elderly and disabled voters. At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. 7.51. This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.81-89.
You will be receiving your Statement of Assessment in the upcoming weeks. You are welcome to join us for the OPEN BOOK meeting on TUESDAY NOVEMBER 1, 2022 from 5-7pm to review your assessment with the assessor and make an attempt to understand your questions. The next step in the process would be to file an Objection to Real Estate Assessment form and schedule an appointment with the Board of Review on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 9, 2022 from 6-8pm.
